When Veneeing Narrow Edges, Consider Staining Instead

Q. I am applying a very thin strip of trim that is about an inch wide with a side depth of about 1/16”, or less. How should I veneer the 1/16" side? Could I just not veneer that edge and just stain it?
A. Yes, it would be best to stain the 1/16” side.
