This is foolproof! No more dealing with warped and brittle single ply sheets of mahogany crotch veneer. We treat and flatten the mahogany crotch veneer and glue it to a flat wood veneer backer. You get a perfectly flat mahogany crotch veneer face, easy to work with and easy to glue down. The overall thickness is approximately 3/64" thick. The veneer backer adds strength, assures stability, and eliminates telegraphing through from your substrate.
Please Note: Mahogany crotch comes in a wide variety of grain patterns. Our stock is continually changing and the face(s) that you receive will have a different appearance and grain pattern than the images that you see here. Imagine the pride you will feel when you finish your next project using this rare and exotic mahogany crotch veneer!
These mahogany crotch faces are made for the furniture industry. A few areas on the veneer surface may be professionally doped and taped with veneer tape at the factory. You will have to remove the veneer tape. This is a water based, gummed paper tape that can be removed using a damp rag. Instructions here.
Dimensions are width x height as pictured. Note: Not available with the peel and stick adhesive or paper backer.
Multiple sets of identical faces may be available if required. Questions? Contact me here. Bob Morgan
